The best investment you can make is in your health. If you do not have this, anything else in life is difficult to enjoy. Many of us take our health for granted until we no longer have it. Our bodies are amazing healing machines. Often by the time symptoms manifest, deficiencies are pronounced and the healing journey can be a long one. Caring for your health before any symptoms arise will reward you with great health and vitality.

Experience taught me the impact of nutrition

I have had multiple teaching experiences throughout my life. I have struggled with ADHD most of my life. I have had my share of accidents. I lost a kidney to an aggressive cancerous tumor at age 54, and had a hip replacement at age 55. I have osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. Most, if not all of these conditions were fueled by inflammation, sugar intake, a nutrient deficient diet, and lack of understanding about what good nutrition was. I thought I knew, but was blown away as I dove more deeply into my nutrition education.

Give yourself the gift of intentional health

Health is not something that just happens. It is the result of intentional actions including the focus on caring for ourselves daily to support our amazing bodies that are designed to support us. It took me until I was 60 to finally begin to understand how important what I eat and how I live affects my health. I can honestly say that since I have put focus on the foods I choose and activities I participate in, I feel like I am getting younger with each passing year. I hope I have inspired you to be intentional with your health and to learn more. You won’t regret it.
